About Sergio Silva
Born in 1983 in Bucaramanga, Santander (Colombia), Sergio Silva started his art journey at a young age, but it wasn’t until his mid 20s that he decided to actually follow his dream: to become a professional artist. At the time, there wasn’t a clear path to achieve this. He enrolled in an Arts program but later realised he didn’t enjoy want to create modern and contemporary art, so when the oportunity came to work as a Digital Artist in the videogame industry, he took it. This wasn’t exactly the plan, but the lack of proper educational programs in this field, forced him to learn everything from the internet, which also connected him to clients all around the globe.
After more than 15 years working as a professional Pixel Artist, he returned to traditional mediums, like oil paint, watercolor and graphite. In today’s world (and Sergio’s heart), there’s a need for real, tangible expressions that connect us as humans.
